Word Faith: We Cancel Out God's Plans By Our Negative Confessions.

Can our negative words and confessions cancel out God's plan or will for our life?  According to many Word Faith teachers our negative confessions can indeed cancel out God's plan for our lives.  This is what happens when you follow out Word Faith teachings to their logical conclusion.  Namely, that our words are containers for power that will literally change our circumstances.

Below are numerous qoutes from various Word Faith/Prosperity Preachers that can be seen every day on "Christian" television.  I have removed their names from their qoutes because numerous "Christian" leaders rely on the power of the courts instead of the power of God.  Does the Bible Forbid Christians to Sue each Other?

All of the Word faith/Prosperity Preachers listed below are/were on "Christian" television and they each have thousands of members in their churches.  How can this be?  It is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy:

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears."
Acts 20:28-31.

"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
2 Timothy 4:2-4

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
2 Peter 2:1-3

"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.  But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him....For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
2 Corinthians 11:2-4, 11-13

Cancel Out God's Plan With Our Words Qoutes:

"Do you know you can cancel out God's best plan with your own negative words?  If you go around talking defeat all the time it's going to stop God from bringing it to pass."
(Popular Word Faith/Prosperity Preacher)

"We can kill the plan of God for our lives with a negative confession."
(Popular Word Faith/Prosperity Preacher)

"God in His wisdom, knew he had to shut Zacharias' mouth or he would blow the whole deal."
(Popular Word Faith/Prosperity Preacher)

"Another important lesson we learn from Zacharias' experience is that our words have the ability to abort the plan of God.  Zacharias had trouble believing the angel's message to him and began to voice words of doubt.  Jesus' birth was so important that the Lord could not allow Zacharias' lack of faith to impede His redemptive plan from coming to pass at its appointed time.  As a result, Zacharias was struck dumb to prevent him from speaking doubt and unbelief."
(Popular Word Faith/Prosperity Preacher)

This is absurd to think that our words can "cancel out" a plan of the Almighty and Sovereign God.  Think about it my friend, is this not the height of arrogance to think that our words can "cancel out" what God wants to do.

What does the bible have to say about the sovereign plan of God and the vain efforts of man that try to subvert it?

"And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?"
Daniel 4:35.

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?  Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Numbers 23:19.

"The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand...For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it?  And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?"
Isaiah 14:24, 27.

"Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?
Isaiah 43:13

"Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; Speak the word, but it will not stand, For God is with us,
Isaiah 8:10

"Whatever the LORD pleases He does, In heaven and in earth,
In the seas and in all deep places,"
Psalm 135:6

"But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases,"
Psalm 155:3

"Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?"
Lamentations 3:37

"Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.  Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.  Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.  Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's,"
Jeremiah 44:25-28.

Let's consider an example in Scripture where Moses doubts God and makes a negative confession concerning God's plan for the nation of Israel.  Did Moses' negative confession cancel out God's plan?  If it did not this clearly proves that our negative confessions can not cancel out or abort the will of our Sovereign God

To the contrary, God did not respond to Moses' unbelief and negative confession with impotence--but God made His own confession of His power!

"And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.  Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them?  Or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them?  And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? Thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not," Numbers 11:21-23.
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
Matthew 7:15
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not."
2 Peter 2:1-3
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
1 John 4:1
